An incredible amount of money has been doled out at the French Open this year. The second Grand Slam tournament of 2025 is set to pay out over $64 million to participants across both men’s and women’s competitions. The new men’s singles champion, Carlos Alcaraz, takes home nearly $3 million after defeating Jannik Sinner in the final. It was Alcaraz’s second French Open title and fifth overall major win.

That money was well-earned because Alcaraz saved three match points in the fourth set before coming back to defeat Sinner in a tiebreak in the decisive fifth set.

The women’s singles champion, Coco Gauff, also won roughly $2.89 million after notching her first French Open title against top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka.

Despite their losses, Sinner and Sabalenka won’t be going home empty-handed. They will take home just shy of $1.5 million as the runner-up. Semifinalists Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti, Iga Swiatek and Lois Boisson each pocketed over $750,000 for their efforts at Roland-Garros.

The quarterfinalists on both sides of the bracket, including Tommy Paul on the men’s side and Elina Svitolia on the women’s side, earned a little over $500,000. Even those who were knocked out in the Round of 16 each received a tick over $300,000.
